Edelborsdorfer

One of the oldest known apples. Are mentioned already in 1561 and may have derived from Borsdorf in Sachsen, Germany. In Sweden it has been since the 1600s. It is mentioned in the first real Danish overview of fruit varieties from 1782nd. Has been the main variety in Central Europe. The fruit is medium in size with smooth skin, yellow-white base color and shiny red on the sunny side. The flesh is juicy, mildly acidic with delicate sweetness and aroma. Picked first in October and used from November to March. Dessert and eating apple.
